AD Blocker for Thunderbird RSS Feeds

more options

Hi,

I've been stuck on an old version of TB because I invested a lot of time in setting up an AD Blocker. This was never really to block AD's but to block all the other stuff that came on RSS feeds. Most feeds showed massive headers, links to facebook and other such crap that I did not want. Even on a 27" monitor I had to constantly scroll down just to read the actual information.

I'd like to move to a newer version of TB but when I search for extensions to block AD's nothing seems to work beyond version 57.

Please can someone suggest a way forward?

At the moment I'm using ADblock Plus and Element Hiding but these also seem to keep loosing the rules I had previously set-up. I have no idea why this is happening?

I'd be quite happy to move to another RSS reader if there is one that allows me to block the content that takes up so much space. I also really value the search function in TB and the filters.

Any help much appreciated.

Try uBlock origin 1.38.0 for TB 78+:

Thank you. Tried it on my current version and it says it doesn't work on that version so I guess I need to upgrade TB first.
