I keep having to login to web apps multiple times per day (NY Times, neeva search engine, UnitedHealthcare, etc.) even though I have passwords saved and “remember me on this device” selected. But not having this behavior on Firefox on MacBook or android.

Maybe you have activated "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" at "Settings", "Privacy & Security", "Cookies and Site Data". You can disable it, or set a exception by "Manage Exceptions", entering the URL and click "Allow" and "Save Changes". If this doesn't fixes your problem maybe this article could help: fix-login-issues-on-websites-require-passwords

Thanks, but this isn’t it. There is no “Privacy & Security” option in Settings in the current Firefox for iPad. I tried looking for other cookies options in other settings but can’t find anything like it in the iPad version (Firefox Daylight 39.0 (6519)).
