Can junk be reported to my email server so that the POP or IMAP server will block it?

When I get an email that Thunderbird thinks is junk, does it get reported to my IMAP server (in my case, mail.com) so that THEY will know to filter any mail from that sender?

Chosen solution

No. You might check to see if the mail server also provides a spam check feature. However, if Thunderbird knows it is junk, there is no need for server to. What you may wish to do (as I do this myself) is to set filter (if your mail server provides the service) to auto delete ids of heavy spammers.
