I got a new computer, and am setting up Thunderbird as I had on my old one. Adding my verizon.net email account is proving difficult. "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password." TB was able to populate the fields, and I added '@verizon.net' to the username for my second attempt. Logging into my verizon.net account at aol requires me to push past a request to create a new password every time I log in, and I wonder if this is stopping TB from accessing my account. If so, how do I get around it?

AOL requires an APP password when using email clients on a PC. I believe you must go to the AOL site and select the security page and can set up the APP password there. See this page for more info: https://help.aol.com/articles/Create-and-manage-app-password
