Try installing the google. uk search engine from the MyCroft Project. (Remove the blank space in the link below.)

Google uses your IP address to guess your country regardless of which site you visit. The region override in Quick Settings (gear icon) > Languages > Results Region will only be remembered if you stay logged in to Google or don't clear cookies.
