I already migrate my email service to google workspace with the same email address and domain. The old mail still on the thunderbird (POP3). I want to migrate emails from there to google mail (IMAP). Is it okay to login the 2 same email address to thunderbird, just to move emails from old mail to new mail. And how to do it properly?

Having both accounts is no problem. On copying the messages, you could highlight the folder and click 'copy to' if only a few messages. If many, I recommend creating a filter to copy (not move) the messages. When done, spot check that the messages are intact. The challenge is that IMAP was not designed for a large number of uploads.
