I'm totally fed up with this! I got this particular one trying to go to Amazon via a link from search but it's happening constantly with links from search and from other sites that I'm on. I am on Amazon a lot. I don't know what this behavior is, where it's coming from, why it's happening, or how to stop it. I'm at the point of just uninstalling Firefox because of it. I've tried the common fixes such as clearing cache and cookies as well as all saved data and it still persists. Firefox has been my default browser for a very long time but if this can't be stopped permanently, I'm done with it!

Most likely you have some kind of adblocker addon like uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus or AdGuard installed that's blocking links to Googleadservices. As that is a very popular ad tracking company. You can try going into your Addons area & disabling everything in there or just disabling any addons that blocks ads. Then quit Firefox, restart it & test those links again.

It's not μBlock Origin as that says it's blocking Googleadservices and gives you the chance to over-rule it once or for evermore.

I have no add ons of any kind except for a theme, nor have I for quite some time and this includes extensions, plug ins, etc. Just the one theme and it's a very basic one. I removed all extensions and plug ins when I first tried to fix this myself, about 3 or 4 months ago.

OK, well, after a long relationship with FF, I've had enough. Hate to do it but this issue has driven me to. I'll check back here and there but for the time being, I've gotta go with what works and ditch what don't. And right now FF don't. Kinda sucks but it is what it is I guess. Later!
