every time I start foxfire and I look at cookies, a cookie from advanced-web-analytics.com has loaded. I delete the cookie but the next time I start foxfire the cookie is back. How can I get rid of it for good?

a cookie, advanced-web-analytics.com, loads every time I start foxfire. I delete the cookie, but the next time I start foxfire there it is again. I uninstalled foxfire and reinstalled it and the problem is still there. How can I get rid of it for good?

Web sites can set cookies whenever they are accessed, even when they are embedded in other sites. The most likely cause of this analytics cookie is that it's embedded in a website that you are visiting when starting Firefox. This could be your home page or a page loaded by an extension like ForecastFox.

There's no danger in having such cookies, but you can prevent this site from setting cookies if you wish. For steps, see Blocking Cookies.
