I installed a new hdd and went to install firefox through internet explorer. It asked IE asked me about some phishing filter and i clicked no. Later while clearing out unused programs FF got removed by accident. So I went to reinstall through IE and once again it asked me about this phishing filter. So by accident I clicked yes and figured no big deal. So I finished reinstalling FF and now it wont remember any passwords.

== I activated IE anti phishing filter

Check the password setings: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords (see also Exceptions)

See Password manager - Remember, delete, change and import saved passwords in Firefox - Use a Primary Password to protect stored logins and passwords

Make sure that you not run Firefox in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode. In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and features like visited links and disabled and not available. You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing", possibly grayed.

I've already checked every possible solution i can think of including private browsing. I'm almost positive it has something to do with IE/windows anti phishing filter not allowing FF to store the info. It doesn't even ask to remember passwords even though I have it set to.
