When I visit a bookmarked site, a thumbnail of the website is not saved next to the bookmark like before

In previous versions of Firefox, when I saved a bookmark, some websites give a little thumbnail on the tab and that thumbnail would be saved next to the bookmark in the bookmark menu. Now, no thumbnails get saved, all there is is a little white folder image next to the bookmark.

Chosen solution

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
