every time I check "remember passwords" in "options" it will not stay checked..I keep re-checking it but it won't stay
I have two computers. On one the "remember passwords" in "options" is checked, it stays checked and whenever I log into a new site, I get the message "do you want Firefox to remember...". With my other computer (same operating system, etc), the "remember passwords.." will NOT stay checked, Every time I go into Firefox, ti's unchecked, I check it again, but it stays checked only until I sign out of Firefox; when I go back in, it's unchecked agai and it won't ask me to remember passwords

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
- Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
- Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
i think i found my problem. I have dell fast access facial recognition. And for a few sites here and there i would click the button to allow fast access to remember my password. I think that it was FastAccess that kept unchecking the box for me. If you have any other type of passwords manager, excluding Xmarks and programs like that that basically just save, try turning off the ability for them to remember. Like i went to fast access and unchecked the WebVault box and now it works fine again
Worth mentioning that new versions of FastAccess can also enter usernames and password into Firefox as well as IE.
