When I print from Firefox 3.6.13 (Windows XP and all my printers) any pages after the first page are printed as black characters on a blue background. If I print from the same web page using Chrome the printing is done properly.
Computer is home built, Windows XP Pro sp3. Printers are network HP Photosmart 7960 and Brother HL-5150D (background is gray in that case). This seems to have started with the upgrade to 3.6.13.

Looks like you have Print Background (color & images) enabled on for all three printers you have installed, Adobe PDF included. I see those settings in your More system details. That's why you are getting the grey (monochrome Laserjet) or blue background, but that should be printed on the first page, too.
File > Page Setup - un-check that preference

I have this same problem but my pages are Not set up to print the back ground. Any other suggestions? Windows XP w/sp 3 Firefox 4.0
I have this problem as well. I sell on the Internet and any time I open an order to print from a link on the website it has a blue background. I've tried changing my printer to print grayscale, I have a default setting on Firefox for customization and no add-ons. I can't figure out how to get this blue background to go away!!!
I tried using Internet Explorer again, went to same site, printed same page and it came out white - so it has something to do with Firefox! I use Windows XP and have an HP All in one printer, scanner, copier. Have not changed any settings on the printer.
I am also having this same problem. I have checked the settings for printing from Firefox print/page set up/options - background printing is NOT selected. I do not find background printing selected anywhere. i have an HP printer and using windows7. This issue started after upgrading firefox. HELP
