New tabs loading in foreground despite preferences.

All of a sudden, I've found that control-clicking to open a new tab results in it opening in the foreground. I've got my preferences set otherwise, and can't seem to really figure this out. I haven't installed or updated anything recently that prompted this, so I know it's not an add-on issue. It only occurs when opening the second tab. If I've already got one open, tabs open correctly.

Anyone having this issue or have an idea for fixing it?

Chosen solution

This issue can be caused by an extension (try DivX HiQ) or plugin that isn't working properly.

That solved it, although I've found that safe mode would still reproduce the problem at times. Confusing, but an easy fix for an add-on that I don't use anyway.
