Click on the Firefox button on top left of the Firefox main window, then click on the options, and you can change new session options from there. Firefox - Options - General - Startup

Actually i have done it 3 times already.. still the same problem persists.. Am thinking of deleting the cookies and the recent history and then restart firefox. maybe it will solve.

If you set a sync up, it might be syncing your last session every time?

no i am not using firefox sync!! I checked it now..
