Why do pages load so slow? With Google Chrome they load fast. I want to use Firefox, too, but I can't stand how long it takes to load pages. Please help!

When I click on a link from a Google search, the page will not load. The circle in the tab goes round and round and round and round and round ad nauseum.

Thanks for the reply. I tried both solutions and pages still take forever to load. Very frustrating. I think I'm gonna have to file Firefox away with IE for awhile and stick with Chrome and Opera (they work fine). I like Firefox the best, but not while it's working like this.

Update All your Firefox Plugins

=> When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)

Thanks, but I've tried that, too, including temporarily disabling different ones to see if it made a difference. No luck. (I never installed any extra extensions or add-ons). Could it be that the latest version of Firefox does not like my antivirus app?
