Firefox crashes
Firefox crashes when I try to open it and does the same thing in safe mode. Last night I had firefox open when I tried to shut down my Vista computer. It stopped me from shutting it down so I reopened it and shut down Firefox, then the computer. I have tried restoring to a point before this happened but it still crashes. I also tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it but that did not help. What more can I do?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

Since I can't start Firefox, I can't do any of the things you suggested: It crashes before it opens everytime.
Also, I could and did uninstall, download the latest version and install it before, now I can't unistall it and the shortcut doesn't work. If I go to the program file and double click on firefow.exe, then I get the window to report the crash.
