Why can I not install updates or upgrade to 8?

When I try to install updates, all I get is "Connecting to the update server" And when I "download" version 8, and then go to open firefox again, it is still version 7...

Hi crazytwin123- There can be a number of reasons why the updates are not installing correctly. Here is a link to an article describing how you might fix the problem: How to fix the Update Failed error message when updating Firefox
