When I try to save a picture...it has the name of what the pic is and it says "Save As"......File Type". Where it says file type it is empty....usually it says all files or something but there is nothing there to save it as....why is this?

Hi,

You can try to save it even if the file type is empty. Usually it'll be saved correctly.

Thank you.....but I keep trying and the pic file shows up in the download window but not in the picture library. I can't understand it.

Are Open and Open Containing folder in the right-click context menu in the Download Manager window grayed (disabled) ?

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
