Running osx lion 10.7.4 and firefox 13.0.1. Have the extensions ghostery and noscript. Noscript has changed the firefox toolbar and preferences and ghostery advanced preferences. I've used firefox for years, but I will stop using this browser if I cannot uninstall noscript.

Have tried disable, but noscript re-enables itself. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, but noscript is still there. Have tried reset through safemode, noscript re-enables itself. Have looked for noscript plugin location through firefox, it's not listed. Please help.

The ordinary version of no-script is one of the most popular of the officially hosted Firefox add-ons https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/?src=search

You should have no problem uninstalling that. Some users have a problem because security software is preventing changes, that could be a problem on your system, but tends to be less likely on a Mac than MS PCs. The standard uninstall instructions are in these articles

I am not using no-script at present but did not have problems uninstalling it. I am not a Mac user but have two thoughts

  1. the uninstall script file is somehow corrupt, in which case the above linked artice should solve the problem.
  2. maybe you have actually installed something else, a totally unofficial version or even malware.

IF the linked articles do not help I would suggest the best place for advice is no-scripts own active support forum http://forums.informaction.com/viewforum.php?f=3

Please post back with how you get on.
