Downloaded gTranslate extension. How do I place a shortcut icon on the add-on bar at page bottom so I can use it?

I've added the gTranslate extension to Firefox. It is clearly shown in the list of current extensions I have. I have tried to place a shortcut icon on the add-on toolbar at the bottom of the page (near where the page zoom-in/zoom out icons are displayed).

Procedure I used: right-clicked on empty space on add-on toolbar at page bottom. Clicked on "Customize." The square-shaped dialog box of icons opened, but I do not see anything for the gTranslate extension that I could "drag & drop" onto the add-on toolbar.

Request assistance with this issue.

gTranslate doesn't have icons. You have to select the text to translate, right-click and hover the mouse pointer over the menu item Translate ..., and wait for the translated text to appear. You can also Change Languages from the sub-menu, or alternatively via Firefox Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Extensions, gTranslate Options.

On the Mozilla add-on page for gTranslate ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/gtranslate/ ), it says in the first sentence under "About this Add-on"

  • With gTranslate you can translate any text in a webpage just by selecting and right-clicking over it.

There may not be an icon. It appears to be operated from a right-click context menu after text is highlighted on a web page. Also look at the single graphic/image on that page.

My sincere thanks to both dumdidadida and TheOldFox for your respective, helpful replies. Since you both concur about the issue of there being no icon for gTranslate...that reassures me that at least I didn't somehow manage to screw something up!

Best Regards!
