After an update to RealPlayer, the address bar would only say "go to a website", not the address of the page I was on. System restore fixed it. I deleted RealPlayer & installed RealDownloader (because that is all I want to do). I have the same problem, a blank address bar.

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
