I uninstalled Firefox as I was having trouble after Firefox updated to 23.0.1 then I reinstalled it. Now I've lost my bookmarks. How do I restore them?

I tried going to "Bookmarks", then "Show All Bookmarks", then "Import and Backup". I see the option to click on yesterdays and today's dates only, plus there are no bookmarks for those dates. Is there another way to retrieve my bookmarks? This is really frustrating.

If you uninstalled Firefox and chose the option, "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations," then your bookmarks are gone for goodand all your other Firefox data were removed, as explained here under #7:

P.S. If you did select "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" when you uninstalled Firefox, all your Firefox data was deleted and you'll need to use a file recovery utility program to try to recover your files. See this thread for more information:
