Many of the emails in the Inbox disappeared. I clicked on Properties to rebuild the Inbox and the remaining emails disappeared. I did not run compact. I deleted Inbox.msf then Inbox without any success. Finally I deleted the globl-message-db.sqlite file but nothing was rebuilt. Any suggestions?

I'm running Win7, 64bit, all emails are downloaded to the computer (none left on the server) and the mail program is Eudora OSE.

Do you accumulate messages in Inbox? This is usually a bad idea, because Inbox is most susceptible for corruption.

The most likely cause for Inbox corruption is anti-virus software. Therefore don't let your anti-virus software scan your Thunderbird profile folder.

Since you deleted Inbox, there's nothing left to recover. You best bet is to restore a backup of your profile.

As far as I know, Eudora is EOL.
