file open does not show all files

When using Firefox to search for files the interface does not allow me to search for All Files. It only gives me the option for Documents

That's because Firefox can load document type files. What is it you are trying to look for?

How did you call up the file browsing dialog? For example:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Open File
  • (menu bar) File > Open File
  • a button in a web page, in the HTML content
  • a button in a web page, in a region managed by a plugin
  • other

As a possible workaround, what if you enter *.* in the file name space and press Enter to apply that filter. Does it override "Documents"?
