hi, does the same thing happen when you launch firefox once in safemode too? if not you might have a malicious extension (adware) installed causing this that you should look into and remove...

hi, that's also explained in the help article i've linked to: you can either go to the firefox menu > help > restart with addons disabled or press the shift key while launching firefox in order to get into safe mode.
