computer shut down uninstalling old Thunderbird,while re-installing, it keeps on saying it must remove old Thunderbird and reboot, nothing happens - HELP

Tried removing older version, computer turned off while doing so. Program no longer appears but when attempting to install new version, I keep getting the message taht teh old version must be removed by re-booting,. I re-boot but still blocked from a re install

Computer > OS (C:) >Program Files or if using 64 bit look here: Computer > OS (C:) > Program Files (x86)

Is there any Folder called 'Mozilla Thunderbird' ?

How can you uninstall something with the computer switched off?

Have you done this? In Windows to uninstall a program:

  • Control Panel > Programs & Features.
  • Select Mozilla Thunderbird
  • click on uninstall

Thanks for allowing me to get back to taking care of work instead of my wife's computer - which I am an amateur on !!!
