With new update I can't access my old profiles

Good morning/day/evening, two days ago my firefox updated to 67 version and now I can't access my old profiles. I've tried about:profiles and firefox.exe -p. It just doesn't see profiles except new default one. How do I "repair" them?

Hi ReaganHaz, I'm sorry to hear about this problem. If I understand correctly, the about:profiles page does not list all of your profile folders.

Are all of your profiles in the standard location, meaning, here:

C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

(To navigate into AppData, you need to set Windows to show hidden files and folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/h.../windows-show-hidden-files)

In the old days -- before Firefox 67 -- I would have recommended using "Method 2" in our support article on the missing profile issue. That is to rename Profiles.ini to something like ProfilesOLD.ini and then let Firefox generate a new one at startup. However, to be completely honest, I have not tested that in the current release and really don't know whether it still works. For that reason, I suggest backing up your profile folders before doing anything drastic.

Looks like Profiles.ini did broke. I wrote correct paths in there and it worked. Thanks for reply. P.S. "Method2" didn't work. It just "forgot" even the last profiles and created new "default" profile.

Thank you for the update. I may need to mess around on an old laptop to get a better idea of what is going on.

I don't know whether it would be useful right now, but for possible reference, you may be able to extract a copy of an older Profiles.ini file from a restore point. Do not use Windows 7's system restore feature! Instead, use the Previous Versions tab:

right-click the Profiles.ini file > Properties > Previous Versions

Windows will search restore points and show any shadow copies of the file that it made when doing system updates. You can Copy/Export a file out to a neutral location (I wouldn't replace your new file) so you have it for reference.
