Memory consuming with Firefox 29.0.1
Specs Pentium D 3.4 Ghz, DDR2 2 GB, 250 GB SATA with two partitions (windows and all applications partition: 18 GB free of 42 GB, other partition: 13 GB free of 190 GB) Windows 8.1 Ent 64 bit, Firefox 29.0.1 with plugins http://i.imgur.com/0tFbX0Q.jpg and extensions http://i.imgur.com/hQ3H7d0.jpg
Firefox is consuming too much memory. Check http://i.imgur.com/DL4GGME.jpg with one tab opened i.e. Google search. Sometimes it reaches to this http://i.imgur.com/xp39XvZ.jpg
While IE or Chrome does not take too much memory. I don’t know the exact time I am facing this issue. I think this problem occurs in latest versions. May be v24 or newer.
Kindly help

There have been memory issues reported with the Adblock Plus extension
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
I have found a faulty extension Adblock Plus, which is consuming too much memory. If I disable all plugins It consumes 70 MB and after disabling Adblock Plus only It is consuming 110 MB.
Apart from it, Firefox is a more memory consumer. I have IE 11 with only one tab open consuming 19 MB.
Can you suggest anything regarding my whole issue.
Thanks.
This run-away memory consumption has been ongoing for several versions of Firefox, I have seen my Firefox use as much as 1 GIG of memory. Nothing i seem to do resolves this issue. It happens on multiple machines, so i know it is not machine specific. Apparently Mozilla programmers dropped the ball again, just like with the plugin-container.exe
What is it going to take for them to figure it out?
