Will all my plugins be removed if I reset firefox? How can I keep them?
While updating Adobe flash, a little box appeared suggesting that my firefox was slow. I agree. When I clicked on it, it was suggested that I reset firefox.
My concern is certain plugins I've added; do those get tossed in the reset? If yes, is there any way to preserve them before the reset?

I'm pretty sure the addons are removed when resetting Firefox. You can either make a list and manually reinstall them afterwards, or use the Sync feature to transfer them over.
