When I print my bank statement from my Firefox Browser, it comes out with an over-print on is like a scrambled VOID. If I switch to my Safari Browser (which I seldom use) it will print clearly without any over-print or obliteration. See image attached. Can this be fixed?

If the statement is a PDF, it could be a problem with Firefox's built-in PDF viewer. You might need to use the download button (an arrow icon on the PDF viewer toolbar) to open the document in Preview or another PDF viewer to print the statement correctly.

If you cannot see any content on pages you printed or in print preview, the cause might be margins which are set too high.

  1. In order to check the margins, we need to go to File > Page Setup.
  2. Once this is done, switch to the Margins & Header/Footer tab.
  3. Check what's set there under Margins.

The following are the default values for Margins:

Right: 12.7

Top: 12.7

Left: 12.7

Bottom: 12.7

Check these values accordingly and change them if necessary.

^ those default values are for when the user is using "A" type papers, used everywhere except North America - which uses 'inch' measurements = those prefs would appear in Firefox a 0.5 rather than 12.7

richard, Please post your screenshot again; it didn't make it into your initial posting.

How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

I can't seem to get it down to 1MB, it is 3MB in JPG or 2.5MB in PNG, sorry.

I have rescanned just a portion of the screen, this should give you a view of the problem.

That seems to be the solution. Thanks!
