Does Thunderbird support AOL email acounts?
Setting up a computer for a friend and they use AOL for e-mail. I love Thunderbird for my e-mail client and want to know if it will work for AOL. I can't setup Thunderbird for my yahoo mail so I wonder if it will support AOL. Thanks!

Here are the settings I have for an AOL account:
incoming IMAP server: imap.aol.com port: 993 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication: Normal password User name: the part of your address before @
outgoing SMTP server: smtp.aol.com port: 465 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication: Normal password User name: the part of your address before @

Thunderbird works fine with Yahoo!. What's your problem with it?
So long as AOL offer POP or IMAP, and SMTP, then you can use it with Thunderbird too.
