I have checked that I have read and write permission to write to all files with "inbox" in the Profiles folder. Have been using thunderbird since 2010, problem began yesterday 27th Jan. Have disabled plug-ins etc. No joy. Am using thunderbird 38.5.1 on Mac OS 10.8.5, please see details below.
