can't open pdf attachments - generates a new message
When I try to open pdf attachments to my email they won't open. Instead a new email message is created with no recipient and with the attachment in the attachment box

On the toolbar > Options > attachments> incoming and delete whatever is there for handling PDF files. Sounds like some how Thunderbird has be set as the handler application for PDF files instead of an adobe product.
