I upgraded to thunderbird 45 and have an issue with correspondents
refer to screen print: Before the upgrade - the Correspondents field was labeled FROM and the original sender's name was displayed. After the upgrade the screen appears as shown - why is the sender's name missing and why is the arror pointing --> ? That part was not explained in the what's new text.
Now this happened on my win vista home computer. All the accounts listed were converted to show this Correspondents label.
I have two win 10 machines as well. On the win 10 Home system, all accounts upgraded as shown.
On my win 10 PRO machine, only one of the accounts was upgraded as shown. The others still retain the FROM field. This also does not make sense.

Today is May 16, 2016. So far there has been no comment on this issue BUT I discovered another problem with this Thunderbird upgrade. Thunderbird NO LONGER empties the trash on exit as it did before even though the flag EMPTY TRASH ON EXIT is set.
05-20-2016: this issue appears to have been corrected in the update to 45.1

this resolved the first problem - as to the new issue, feel free to ignore it as I have posted the question on bugzilla. It seems to be a known problem.

I see an update to 45.1.0. Under 45.0 my columns got screwed up by a correspondents column. I started to change some of my folders back to the way it was but gave up because I have just too many folders.
I don't know what will happen if I install 45.1.0. Will the correspondents column go away and my previous columns headings return?
Will that happen for all folders? What will happen to folders that I didn't change to get rid of correspondents? What will happen to folders that I did change?
I am afraid to update to 45.1.0 until I know what to expect.

I didn't know it was solve. Just one more thing to make my life difficult. I spend more time trashing then I can afford.
