The details of imported email address book entries are not being displayed
Hi, I imported an address book from Outlook Express as a csv file but when I open it in Complete Mail the only thing that is displayed is a column of little people pictures on the left i.e. no names or email addresses. Only if I click on any of the individual pictures do the details come up in the Edit Contact box. Also when I want to compose a new email and click "To:" nothing comes up to choose from and if I start typing a name only the few addresses in my Collected Addresses folder come up rather than all the addresses in the imported folder. Thanks

What is complete mail?
My guess is you did not map the import filed names and the Thunderbird filed name so when imported email address is somewhere else like name or town

You are aware I assume Thunderbird is FREE software. But you appear to have paid money for it. Does that mean you have been exploited.
Looking at that web site. The other applications look a lot like LibreOffice. A Free office suite See http://www.libreoffice.org/
I had a dig around on the web site and the license is indeed for LibreOffice. Given the application names have been changed I suggest you contact the seller or fair trading and seek a refund of what you paid. The intent to deceive consumers is clear I think.and $100s for some packaging is a little excessive I think.
Hi Matt,
Complete Mail is the email programme that comes with Complete Office, which is sold at Harvey Norman at least as an alternative to Microsoft Office. I'm not sure what the relationship is with Mozilla/Thunderbird but the Complete Mail Help/Support option directed me to this website/forum.
I will look into how to map the import file names, thanks for the suggestion.
when you start the import you get a little timy dialog that lists import field names on one side and Thunderbird names on the other and you have to use the up and down arrows to match them up. IT is painful to say the least.
What I am saying about Complete office is it contains nothing to pay for. You can freely download and use LibreOffice and Thunderbird. So whom ever took your money, be it Harvey Norman or Gerry Harvey himself. They took your money and gave you nothing you could not have downloaded for Free with nothing value added.
Thanks very much - I will try that

Fantastic! Thank you very much. I just selected the name and email and lined them up like you said and now it is all working well, even getting the options dropping down when typing a name in the address bar. Much appreciate your time and expertise.
