Thunderbird just made an email completely disappear in front of my eyes ! How ? Why ?

more options

Hi everybody. Here's the story :

Today I noticed that Thunderbird had marked as "Junk" an email from one of my usual contacts. So, I went to the "Junk" folder and I unchecked the "Junk" flag, like I usually do. Then the email disappeared from the "Junk" folder, which is normal, because it usually goes to the corresponding inbox.

But in fact, that email completely disappeared from Thunderbird, without me being even able to read it ! It's not in my inbox folder. It's not in the "Junk" folder. It's not in the trash. It's nowhere.

I have restarted Thunderbird and I still haven't found it. What can I do ? I have the latest TB version, running on Win 7 x64.

Thank you.
