I save abstracts or full articles to file as references. I want them as text files or as PDF files, not HTML files.

I put them in a large folder and then retrieve to review or write articles, summaries, lectures. HTML files come out as way too messy to read without a lot of formatting. In Safari, txt. files or rtf. files came out needing little or no formatting and could be changed as needed. PDF's work ok in a pinch but not as flexible, some won't allow me to copy, change around, etc.

Tried to look it up but can't find

Can I do this in FireFox? This is a dealbreaker for me. If I can't do research on the NatLibMed in FFox and save/change these results easily in the forms I'm used to using, then it's back to Safari for me. Ongoing work and research and so on. Hope this is some thing I'm just unfamiliar with how to do. Have never tried to use another browser, have used Macs of all the OS since 1985... It has been a while.

Thanks for your help

You can consider to save the pages as a screenshot (PNG file) as an alternative.
