Remember Me Function for Various Websites Not Working
Hi!
I recently switched to Firefox and have run into an issue with many of the websites that I visit. To simplify logging into many websites, they have a 'Remember Me' checkbox so that they will save your login ID so that you don't have to retype it every time. I have a longish email address for work, so I normally check this option when I first log into a site, but since switching to Firefox this no longer works.
I have checked that cookies are allowed and everything looks fine there. I am using the default configuration for Firefox, so I don't think that I am browsing in Private mode and cannot figure out why the 'Remember Me' function isn't working
I would appreciate any help in getting this issue resolved.
Thanks!

Did you also change the FF login preference saved option to not save?
Hi, it is never advisable to use your personal email for anything unless it is a must do. Please try creating a free email account somewhere such as Yahoo then stick your online email address in and see if it works, or if it will change at all. Regardless should never use personal email even if it is your work address.
So at moment is just gathering info. Let us know what happens with the above.
A detail like a website remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie.
You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:
- you can create an "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: Exceptions
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history":
[X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
