Optimum/Altice said that the new version of Firefox is the problem. I cannot attach docs to my emails while in firefox. I have tested this and it's true. In Internet Explorer it is fine. I updated to 64.0.1. still doesn't work. I'm going to try and find an old version to download in the meantime, Otherwise I will need to use another browser ;(

Hi bunty2100, did Optimum/Altice mention the reason for the issue?

Do they have a forum where other users might have mentioned the same issue or discovered a workaround?

What version of Firefox were you using the last time this worked? You may be able to figure that out using the Show Update History button on the Troubleshooting Information page:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table on the page, on the Update History row, click the "Show Update History" button. This should launch a small overlay showing update versions and dates.

By the way, don't use random old Firefox installers from the web. See: Install an older version of Firefox.

Hello Jscher2000,

Thank you so much for the responses!!!!

"Showing Update History" didn't work. It says I have none. (not true, I've had firefox for many, many years.

And I did click on your link to old versions, but now I'm nervous to do it.

Maybe I'll just wait for the next version and use IE when I have to attach in emails.

I really thank you for your help!

To be continued........

Thanks, Debi

Hi bunty2100, your update history shouldn't be blank, I agree. Did your Firefox perform a "Refresh"? That would have moved all your old data to your desktop in a folder named Old Firefox Data. If you see that, perhaps it would explain why your update history is missing. ??

Anyway, unless the company can participate by providing more information about the problem, you may have to use a different browser for now.
