When Sending emails it won't put email in the "sent folder"?
Thunderbird just started to do this. When sending an email a message comes up to say it is having a problem saving email to the "sent" folder. When I checked the "when sending emails place acopy in the "sent " folder. So what is the problem?
Thanks for any help with this issue.
Mr Burns

Tried it, and no :subscribe; in the popup!
That is a pop mail account, so it will have no subscribe option. That is only for IMAP accounts.
Right click the account name in the folder pane. Select compact. That may offer a short term solution.

Hey Wayne anything to help?
Mr B
Hi burnsy, First, let's make sure you are subscribed to the Sent folder. Right-click on the account, and select Subscribe. Make sure that there is a check mark beside the Sent folder for that account.
If the problem still occurs, we'll need some more info about your Thunderbird setup. Go to [=] > Help > Troubleshooting Information, then click Copy text to Clipboard. Open a reply to this post, and go to Edit > Paste to paste the info from your Troubleshooting Information page.

I have the same problem. I use IMAP. My domain has recently moved to another server address at my host company. I had to delete and then re-add all my email aqddresses before they worked at all. Messages are now being sent but not saved to sent folder.
Here follows trouble shooting report,
Thanks Alan

Hi Alan, Matt's post was marked as the solution by the person who asked the original question (burnsy). Your issue may have similar symptoms, but it is likely a different cause/solution. You should use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where volunteers can get more details about your setup.
Because this thread is solved and more people might start using it for their own questions, I'm going to lock it.
