It just stopped working, have tried full uninstall and re-install and everything on the troubleshooting lists.
When FF is opened, I get the URL bar and the rest of the screen is blank. Nothing happens if i type and search for a website from the URL bar.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
Thank you for your help!
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Hi Gardnerdiesel, are you able to create a new, working profile using the method in the following article -- please don't delete your existing profile, we just need a base to start from and then we can suggest critical files to copy from one folder to the other.
New profile did not fix issue.
Unable to search in the Firefox address bar, it just hangs, nothing happens but found crash reports in Help > Troubleshooting menu

Hi Gardnerdiesel, these all have the signature:
AsyncShutdownTimeout | profile-change-teardown | Extension shutdown...
It sounds as though the crashes occurred during the process of Firefox exiting. I don't think those are directly related to the address bar or loading problem, but perhaps they are part of a larger issue of Firefox not being able to properly access its settings files?
Two of the reports mention that an F-Secure extension is installed. Did you try running Firefox in its Safe Mode to bypass that, just in case?
In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)
If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).
Any improvement?
