Thunderbird just did an update today to version 78.1.1 and since then when I open Thunderbird a screen pops up that says Google, One account, all of google. It says log in with your google account. When I enter my email address and click next it just keeps going back to the email blank. I can't get past the screen that asks me to sign in with my google account.

Thanks for the response. It didn't solve my problem but it did prove I'm not the only one with similar problems. It does seem that T'bird has messed something up somewhere. Referring to other responses , I'll fill in some gaps. I'm using Win 10 and T'bird v68 and after the recent update, can't find a T'bird account page. Nor can I get past the wrong 'mail.' password issue. I have two e-mail address accounts and cannot access the main one. Would downloading T'bird v68 again help or just add to the confusion? I would welcome a helping hand because current 'wizards' (in general!) often assume a level of knowledge which idiots (like me) simply do not have. My fallback solution will be to ditch T'bird completely and go back to Windows Live Mail 2012 !!!
