"File Not Found" when opening attachments
Hello All, When trying to view attachments (Docx, Doc, XLSX, XLS, etc) the attachment gets written to "/tmp/pid-xxxxx/filename.ext"
But then LibreOffice is unable to open the file and reports "'/tmp/pid-xxxxx/filename.ext' does not exist"
How can I change where these attachments get saved? I would like to save them to a folder in my Home/tmp folder.
Where can I set that?
I'm running Thunderbird 91.7.0 (64-bit)
Thank you. -tomas

They are temporary files and should be in the system temp directory. They are not being permanently saved.
Do the files exist in the TMP directory at the time of the error?
Yes. The files exist in the /tmp folder.
A new folder with a name such as "pid-119733" is being created to store the temporary files. I can see the files in the folder. But when I try open the files manually using Libre office, I can't see any of the folders in the /tmp folder.
So I suspect that there is a permissions issue with the /tmp folder.
That's why I'm hoping to be able to save files to a temporary folder somewhere in my HOME folder.
Thanks, -tomas
All,
I found the problem. I'm running Ubuntu 20.04. The version of LibreOffice installed was a Snap. I removed and re-installed using apt. The system is working as expected now.
