v115.3.3 updated last night/ overwhelmed with unread messages and strange organization
Thunderbird v115.3.3 was updated last night and I have a lot of questions! I have a handful of email accounts. 1) I noticed that some accounts are missing individual Trash folders and most do not have a Sent Mail folder. The Universal SENT folder (at top of left column) is bizarre and has duplicate accounts listed. The Universal TRASH folder (at top of left column) is also bizarre in that it DOES NOT include all accounts. Why is that? 2)Why are previously deleted emails dating as far back as 2013 showing up in the universal Trash? 3) I don't recall using Archives, yet there are items there dating back from 2013, as well as today's emails (all show location of "All Mail"). Some of those emails are also in the "Local Folders > subfolders that I've created over the years. Why, are today's emails, as well as emails placed in local folders showing up as archived? 4) Is there a way to HIDE the All Mail, Important and Starred folders?

Update: I've discovered the Unified Folders & All Folders viewing options. Activating the All Folders viewing option has helped somewhat with #1 and having access to the trash & sent folders within each account.
re : 4) Is there a way to HIDE the All Mail, Important and Starred folders?
Sounds like you are using gmail and it's an imap account.
If you do not want to see them then do this.
- Right click on the imap gmail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Subscribe'
- Select 'All Mail', 'Important' and 'Starred' folders and click on 'Unsubscribe'
- click on 'OK'
Toad-Hall kindly answered question #4 - thank you!
Re #1 question - answered by combining Toad-Hall's response and displaying All Folders vs. Unified Folders in the left panel.
Re #2 question - Potentially answered: I still don't understand why previously deleted emails are showing up again, but this has happened before with updates, and I suspect it may have to do with not using the COMPACT tool.
Re #3 question: Archives is still a mystery, as I don't know how things end up in the Archives Folder, but having resolved my previous questions has helped.
