I cannot get rid of "re-direct" pages. I've un-installed and re-installed a number of times and still get re-directed to a bunch of different serch pages? HELP!

I cannot get rid of "re-direct" pages. I've un-installed and re-installed a number of times and still get re-directed to a bunch of different serch pages? I also deleted everything I could find in the program files, ect...STILL when I re-installed Firefox do a search for anything, click on a simple answer, away it goes to some screwy search place again. I "block" that site. Do the same thing and another screwy search site? Re-directed every time I try to go to a site from the simple search in the upper right... I love Firefox but I have to use other browsers because I don't have time to never get where I want to go!

This type of behaviour can be caused by malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:
