In the search engine why does Ask keep coming to the top. I prefer Google and change the listing but ASK gets moved back to the top of the list

When I open Firefox in the search engine selection box "Ask.com" keeps coming to the top, despite moving "Google" to the top.

After putting Google at the top it may stay there for a short time but very quickly Ask moves back to the first choice.
