website redirecting
Hello,
I have noticed for a few weeks now that sometimes websites are being redirected when I click on buttons. I have run multiple anti virus/ spyware/adware software and nothing has been found, yet I have just been onto a "clean" website and been redirected. This time it came up stating " redirection requested"
Any ideas what could cause this???

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply, I have ran all the anti spyware you have suggested above and also updated to firefox 9. I thought all was good until this morning when i went to check my gmails and got redirected. I have been hit in the past with the search engine redirection, but not had that problem for years now.
It's not an "everytime I access the internet" problem, it just seems to be once or twice a day. I am awaiting for it to do it again so I can grab the address and show you guys and gals what I mean. I also do a screen shot
See:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

I just accessed dieselplace.com, I logged in as i always do, when I went to read my replies, I got redirected. I stopped it half way and captured the screen.
also this was the site
I don't know why or how this is doing this.
I put the suggestion cor-el said and this redirect did not ask about redirecting it just did it.
