In Firefox, why does my homepage show a cursor blinking in the search bar, but when I type to search for something, it does the typing in the address bar?
This infuriates me! I don't want to search in the address bar! That is why I have the search page as my homepage. I want the search to happen in the search bar (where the blinking cursor is showing). Can someone please tell me how to change this annoying issue?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
