Transferring profile to new hard drive.
Alright, I have spent the last couple days trying to use other users' threads to solve this issue, but I cannot seem to get this to work. I have a failed hard drive that has a lot of mozilla information on it, and I've been trying to find a way to bring that profile (bookmarks, cookies, history and all) over from that hard drive onto this one, and have it be exactly like I left it.
I have tried copying the profile folder from the C:/user/appdata/local/mozilla/profiles folder, as well as using firefox.exe -p, and I am not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I try to open the the profile, nothing is there like bookmarks or history or anything. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Also if it helps at all, before I tell firefox to use the profile, the profile consists of a Cache folder, jumplist cache, mozilla media cache, offline cache, startup cache, as well as urlclassifier.pset and urlclassifier.sqlite.
After I tell firefox to use the profile though, the contents change, as well as the size, going from an original 1.10 gb to 200mb. What gives?
Firefox keeps its profiles in this location on Vista/Windows 7:
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
To make Firefox see a profile, you also need the profiles.ini file that registers the profile or use the Profile Manager to create a new profile and click the Choose Folder button to select a profile that you've copied and isn't currently registered in the profile manager.
