How do I retrieve the rest of my browser history?
The browser history that is older than 6 months has completely disappeared (it doesn't show up in the sidebar)! I would very much like to be able to see it again. How do I do this? I know for a fact that Mozilla Firefox used to have a feature where it let you see all your browser history (it put it under "older than 6 months"). I really like to go back and look at all my history. Please tell me this is possible. This really annoys me that this happened.
I downloaded my current version of the browser last June & the browser history is only showing October & onward. In my browser settings (tools- options), in the "privacy" tab, I have it set where it says the browser "will remember history", & I have the cache set to 1024 MB (but for it to override the cache management). I hope someone can help me, because I really want to be able to see the rest of my browser history. Thanks.

13.0.1 is old and no longer supported.
Get 19.0.2 here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
You can't restore history in Firefox that has been deleted and that no longer shows in the sidebar or history manager.
That said you can try to restore an older version of the places.sqlite file that stores the history and the bookmarks.
Note that this will replace the bookmarks that you currently have so you may want to create an HTML and JSON backup.
If I were to update the browser to the latest version, would I be able to keep my browser history (would it appear in the new version)? Thanks.
If you update Firefox by running the latest installer, it detects your existing personal data and migrates it to the new version. This almost always works flawlessly, but it doesn't hurt to do a backup first. Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.
You still won't get that deleted history back after a reset and if a new profile is created then you can no longer use other means to possibly restore that history.
